Her favourite thing is beaching and water, so she would like to go out east, like to Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick to see the ocean! She wants to swim in the ocean. She loves water. She's a total water baby. Jubi also loves hiking, traveling around, seeing new things, and she is a history nut.

Meet Rylyn

April 11, 2020 is a day that will be ingrained in our memories forever. It was a couple of weeks into the first COVID shut down that our daughter Rylyn began to feel unwell. At the time, she was a very active 10 year old who excelled in both hockey and soccer and had rarely been sick in her life.

Meet Wynter

Wynter is currently in Grade 4 and doing amazing in her academics. She has many loves, including video games, crafting, fashion, painting, making slime, animals, music, school, playing with her baby sister, being outdoors, swimming, baking, anime and her family and friends.

Above all else, she is intelligent, shy (just at first!), soft spoken, kind, funny, and has such a big heart.

Meet Marek

Marek loves going fishing, camping and being outdoors. His favourite animal are frogs, and he always tries to find one in the garden or by the lake. He gets very excited for anything that has a frog on it, whether it’s a book, toy, stuffy or pretty much anything! His family shared that he has a keen ability to spot everything and anything that has a frog on it.

Meet Kayne

He likes sports, building, and climbing. When you see his big smile and hear his laugh, it’s hard to imagine how sick he really is. Kayne has Chronic Granulomatous Disease, a rare genetic disorder. Kayne’s mother has the gene, and it was passed to her by her mother. There was a fifty-fifty chance that Kayne would inherit the gene. And he did.

The specialist told us she was going to put our name in, and 2 days later Shannon [The Dream Factory’s Dream Coordinator] was at the hospital with a present for Nori. I thought it was incredible - two days and they were already involved, lifting her spirits during one of our toughest times.”

Meet Malachi

The first words that come to mind when Malachi’s parents describe their son: happy, energetic, and extremely curious. Born at 30 weeks and 6 days, Malachi was born with a congenital diaphragmatic hernia. This means that he was born without a lot of diaphragm, affecting the development of his heart and lungs. Malachi’s dream is for a complete bedroom makeover, something his mom thinks will be “bold” and “edgy” just like her son’s personality — and full of superheroes, of course!

Meet Angel

Angel is truly a special gift to our family. She loves getting hugs, and especially when we do a family hug. She loves car rides, being out and about, and in general just loves to be a social butterfly. It’s been difficult with COVID-19, as Angel has not really been able to go anywhere or have new experiences. We really think that she would love camping, and that’s why her dream come true is for a camper for us to take her on a few new adventures.

Meet Éveline

Letter from A Dream Parent: Eveline is the most social kid I know, loving attention from anyone who will give it. That makes her a favourite among the nurses and doctors. She's so funny, and loves to smile, laugh, and make others laugh. Even at 1 year old, she knows how to ham it up to get someone smiling.
