August 2021: Updates On Beyond Dreams Bingo, Deadlifts, Pie Party, and more!
As September brings around the first day of Fall, we are so excited and proud of the incredible summer that we’ve had here at The Dream Factory. This summer was full of new initiatives, incredible community support, and of course - more dreams come true!

The First Ever Beyond Dreams Bingo is a Blast!
This month we hosted the first-ever Beyond Dreams Bingo presented by our friends at Kinsmen Jackpot Bingo. Folks who participated received their own very special bingo card filled with fun summer activities to complete like: explore a new park, take a family selfies, and try something new. It was fantastic to see all the fun participants had while crossing off squares on their bingo cards!
All funds raised in for Beyond Dreams Bingo supported the ‘Beyond Dreams’ program here at The Dream Factory. This program embodies all of the special moments, experiences, and gifts that we work hard to create outside of the child’s “Big Dream” and is our way of reminding Dream Families that they are an important part of our community, always. It doesn’t matter if their dream was years ago or still to come — they are what The Dream Factory is all about!
We are so grateful for all the incredible folks who participated and supported. Thank you! A big shout out to our friends at Kinsmen Jackpot Bingo, Aunt Monica’s Attic, Black Market Provisions, Cinnaholic, Fresh Emblem, Heather’s Pretty Parties, Manitoba Egg Farmers, and Pasquale’s Ristorante & Pizzeria for being such wonderful friends to Dream Kids and their families here in Manitoba.
New Community Event: Super Strength for Super Kids
Super Strength for Super Kids is a brand new fundraising event hosted by friends of The Dream Factory in Brandon, Manitoba. Many of the kids we support at The Dream Factory are from Brandon and the Westman area!
On October 3rd, 2021 there will be a strongman competition at Anytime Fitness Brandon (3000 Victoria Ave) to showcase our community’s super strength in an effort to make a dream come true for Wynter, a child right here in Brandon who knows the true meaning of strength.
The event will include a number of strongman events, and be open to participants of all skill levels and from ANY fitness facility. Participants are asked to raise a minimum of $250 each as they prepare for the event, and the goal is to raise $10,000 to ensure that Wynter’s dream can come true.
The event organizers are dreaming of a safe and “super” day complete with guest appearances from favourite superheroes, kid-friendly activities, and a community working together to bring a dream to life.
Participants of all skill level (and from any fitness facility!) are welcome - events can be adapted based on comfort level, accessibility, etc. While we’re excited to show off our strength, this event is more about supporting kids in need and having some fun a long the way!

Thank You To The Winnipeg Foundation!
This month, we wanted to share our gratitude for our wonderful friends at The Winnipeg Foundation; who have once again lent their support to The Dream Factory and countless other charities through their Stabilization Grant program.
The program was created to help Winnipeg’s charitable organizations continue to weather the impacts of COVID-19; and we could not be more appreciative.
The Winnipeg Foundation has been a tremendous support to The Dream Factory over the last several years - and this grant will once again allow us to keep kids dreaming BIG during this challenging period. Thank you!
Goal Reached! Deadlifts for Dreams Does It Again.
UPDATE: With just days to go until Deadlifts for Dreams 3, our Deadlifts community has raised nearly $20,000 - exceeding the original $15,000 goal and directly supporting Jasmine’s Dream Come True!

In the meantime, we wanted to recognize and thank our incredible event sponsors. Sneak Peek: The Pie Party @ Home is back!
The Pie Party @ Home is back… and you’re invited! This year we’ve partnered with our longtime friends Exchange District Pharmacy and Cinnaholic to create two incredible Cookie Pie Kits for you to enjoy. ⠀
This year’s Cookie Pies will come in a create-your-own kit so that our talented Pie Partiers can have a little bit of fun putting their own unique spin on decorating these delicious desserts!
