Shortline Moving Solutions Keeps Dreams Moving! - Raising Over $10,000 for Ben’s Dream Come True!
You might recall seeing The Dream Factory logo on moving trucks across Winnipeg. That is thanks to our friends at Shortline Moving Solutions, a locally owned and operated business that is a trusted choice among Winnipeg movers.
They are also Dream Makers who have been long-time supporters of The Dream Factory! Recently, the incredible team at Shortline shared that they wanted to take their support to the next level: they wanted to sponsor a dream come true.
That Dream is for Ben, a 15-year-old boy here in Winnipeg who is fighting Ewings Sarcoma, a very rare cancerous tumour that grows in your bones. Treatments have been really tough for Ben and his family, and he’s had to spend a great deal of extra time at home.
In a note he shared with The Dream Factory, Ben wrote, “…after every treatment, I stay in my room to recover. I like to relax with my favourite music, play video games with my friends, and spend time with my dog.” It made perfect sense then, when Ben’s dream request was for a dream bedroom transformation. Ben deserves the perfect space to rest, relax, and enjoy all of his favourite things.
“I just wanted to say thank you and to share my appreciation to you all. I can’t thank you enough.”

Thanks to our friends at Shortline Moving Solutions, Ben’s dream is one step closer to coming true.
Throughout the month of June, Shortline launched “Keep Dreams Moving” - a campaign to raise funds for Ben’s dream come true. In addition to donating 5% of their sales for the month, they encouraged friends, families, and partners to get involved as well. It was a true team effort that resulted in a donation of over $10,000 to The Dream Factory, ensuring that Ben’s dream can become a reality!
When we shared the news with Ben’s family, they were overjoyed. Ben is already thinking all about his dream bedroom: the perfect speaker system, video game set-up, and more! It will truly be a dream come true.
