For kids battling life-threatening illnesses, the real world can be scary - but their dreams can carry them away to a place where kids can just be kids.
Ryder had his dream of a brand new fire hall playhouse come true this past summer. Hear from his mom Christine about Ryder’s story, their experience, and how Ryder’s dream came to be:
Dear Friend of The Dream Factory,
Today, I would like to share the story of our son Ryder.
Ryder was born in June of 2012. Like most parents, my husband Chris and I had no idea what parenthood was really all about but would soon find out that the unexpected could happen at any moment.
We didn’t learn what a warrior Ryder would become until 8 months later, when we were told something no parent ever expects: Ryder had Infant Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
