May 2022 - Community events, generosity from local students, and a Disney Dream come true!
May was another wonderful month at The Dream Factory! The excitement from the 2022 Dream Maker Auction is still rippling through the factory floor. Some exciting things that happened in May included the launches of some of our favourite community events, incredible generosity from local students, and a Disney Dream come true! The Dream Ride is back!
The 2022 Dream Ride is on a roll! Last year this amazing event raised over $42,000 in support or Aria and Brie’s Dreams (pssst! We will share more about Aria’s Dream Come True, below!).
This year the event is supporting both Maiya and Rainey’s Dreams! We are so grateful for the wonderful support the Dream Riders and Walkers give to Dream Kids. Because of their kindness, Aria’s Dream came true! Aria visited Disney World with her sister Brie and their family. They had an amazing time!
“We would have never been able to give her - and our whole family - these amazing memories without you, Give Kids the World, and our doctors. Aria’s Dream Trip is something we will never forget.” -Aria’s mom.

Madox’s Warriors Dance Party is back, too!
For the first time since 2019, Madox’s Warriors were able to host their super fun dance party in 2022! Yay!
There was dancing, singing, and laughing among the families enjoying the afternoon in support of an important cause.

For Casera Credit Union’s 2022 fundraising campaign, the team supported Jubilee’s Dream Come True! Casera sold Dream Clouds in support of Jubilee, as well as accepted donations from staff and clients.
We are so proud to share that Casera beat their fundraising goal and raised over $3500. Amazing! Casera has been in our Dream Kids’ corner for nearly 20 years, and has raised over $15,000 to help make more Dreams come true!

Generous Students in Winnipeg
Wow! The generosity of youth in our city is truly astounding! The wonderful Youth Aid Society of Miles Macdonell Collegiate collected unwrapped toys for our Dream Kids and collected several boxes full of amazing items! We were absolutely stunned by their generosity!
We are also so grateful to Vincent Massey Collegiate, Oak Park High School, and Dakota Collegiate’s Youth in Philanthropy committees for granting us support by gifting the flight, parking, and hotel stay for a Dream Family, and support of the Beyond Dreams program. The generosity of these young philanthropists knows no bounds, and we cannot thank them enough!
